Matter:
The Trust has launched a gigantic effort for making District Fatehgarh Sahib Cataract Free. The First leg started on 15th October to 25 Novemeber 2011, The OPD being held at Mata Harnam Kaur Community Development Center, Bassi Pathana  Chariman Eye Project Rtn.Jagmohan Goel & H.S.Mejie Founder Trustee Of MBCT jointly inaugurated the Camp.

TRUST provides the medicine, Transport, cataract removal surgery & IOL replacements Free. 

Special News of this Camp:
Trust achieved its target 50% to declare District Fatehgarh Sahib free from Cataract. In February and March 2012 trust will organized such Cataract Free camps again and by 2014 the trust will achieve its target.

THIS FREE EYE CAMP WAS ORGANISED IN THE MEMORY OF HARBAKSH KAUR MEJIE WITH THE CO-OPERATION OF ROTARY CHANDIGARH CITY BEAUTIFUL.

Patients from 45 villages: 235 Pre Registered and 76 persons selected for Cataract Operation.

The Trust has launched a gigantic effort for making District Fatehgarh Sahib Cataract Free. The First leg started on 15th October to 25 November 2011, The OPD’s held at Mata Harnam Kaur Community Development Center, Bassi Pathana. 

The President PEPSU Women Hockey, Patiala  Mrs.Gurmeet Kaur Kamboj inaugurated the Camp. TRUST provides the medicine, Transport, cataract removal surgery & IOL replacements Free.

76 persons were diagnosed for cataract operation at the camp. They have been registered for operation and IOL replacement free of cost by MBCT at

Dr. Randhawa’s clinic at Patiala. All 76 patients will leave for Patiala for surgery on Sunday 6th November 2011.

Chief Minister Commending MBCT Women Empowerment Program

Honble’ Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal commended Mehar Baba Charitable Trust for it’s Women Empowerment Program and appreciated the Phulkari made by the girls from Damheri and Khalsapur.

These girls hailing from poor economic backgrounds were happy and encouraged by the visit of the Chief Minister and many other dignitaries.

25th December 2010 to 31st December 2010

During October 2009, our Founder Trustee Prof. HS Mejie took initiative to start Hockey Nursery in Bassi Pathana. Trust also provided services of Best Hockey Coaches and known international Hockey Players visited Nursery during Camp.

Immediate after completion of this camp our two Hockey Players Mr. Sameer Malhotra and Mr. Pawan Kumar from Major Dhyan Chand Brigade selected in under 14 (Fourteen) District hockey team which participated in State Level Tournament in Jalandhar held in January 2011.

Achievements:

  • Became District Champion within 10 months after taking the first step.
  • With in 18 months, 3 of our Girls have been selected for Govt. of India’s Program  for National Probable’s.
  • Their education and intensive coaching will be free by Sports Authority of India (SAI).

Special News: Breast Cancer Awareness
Dr. Faysal Siddiqui from Toronto Canada Participate in this Camp.
 Mehar Baba Charitable Trust has Spearheared a NEW Socio awareness campaign ie.Breast & cervix Cancer Awareness.This has been initiared with the support of Manjit Kaur Chawla Trust England. “CANCER ROKO”. A Total of 56 Patients come for checking.This was a Effort of MBCT Bassi Pathanan,MKC Trust England & Bawa Nursing Home.
