Village Health Management Program
Mehar Baba Charitable Trust
Mehar Baba Charitable Trust is actively working with some of the top names in medical professions (PGIMER-SPH) to provide free Medi-Care services to the under-previleged people of 187 Villages falling under Fatehgarh Sahib District.
Our team of field workers regularly visits these villages to do the pre-registration of patients. All pre-registered patients are then brought and catered at our monthly organised OPD at Bassi Pathana MHKCDC.
Health Awareness Roadshows
MBCT holds 4 to 6 Health Road shows in villages every month.During a road show, the Trust carries out IEC Activities providing health related information, educating the villagers, and communicating the ways to combat diseases. Free Tests are conducted to screen the villagers for high blood sugar, and blood pressure; and anemia in girls as well as pregnant women.
Weekly Health Clinic
Weekly Health clinics are oraganised by MBCT with preliminary tests at MHKCDC and checkups by Doctors from SPH-PGIMER at local community health centre.Every clinic draws over 100 patients from villages and free medicines are provided to the patients from the economically weaker section.
Free Eye Camp
Every Year Two IOL Cataract Surgery camps organised with the support of Rotary Clubs. The eye surgeries carries su by expert doctors from the famous Dr. G S Randhawa Eye Hospital and LASIK Centre Patiala. All the patients go through eye examination and vision testing. The villagers identified for Surgeries underwent blood tests for Sugar, HCV and HIV. Till 2021 of sOPD 14,581 villagers went through eye examination and vision testing and 3,028 benefited by IOL cataract Surgery.
